How Long Should A Necklace Be

The ideal length of your necklace depends on the type of necklace you choose to wear. For a typical long necklace, the length of the necklace should be such that the necklace ends anywhere between your mid bosom and belly button. Long necklaces look classy if they do not seem to be interrupted by your shirt’s design or detail, so your necklace should be ideally a few inches below your shirt’s lowest point.

If you are looking for a short necklace, the ideal length would be any where between 15 – 20 inches depending on your figure. The trick is that your pendant should be at least one or two inches above the low of your shirt.

Never let the lower tip of your necklace be hanging loosely. It should never touch the tip of the low of your shirt. Let your necklace add that sensual charm to your neckline rather than create a cluttered look.
